A little preparation goes a long way in helping your session go smoothly:

  • Avoid alcohol the night before—it thins your blood and dehydrates you. Hydration is key, so drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment.

  • Get good sleep the night before.

  • Eat before your session. It stabilizes blood sugar and helps prevent dizziness. Feel free to bring snacks & a drink, especially for longer sessions.

  • Avoid sun damage. If you're sunburned or have a spray tan, we’ll likely need to reschedule. Same goes for moles, wounds, bruises, acne, or irritation in the area—please let me know in advance if this might affect your appointment.

  • In the weeks before: gently exfoliate and moisturize your skin to keep it healthy and prepped—but avoid lotion on the day of.

  • Dress comfortably in a way that makes the tattoo placement easy to access. Loose, breathable clothing is best—especially for longer sessions. If we’re working on your ribs, thighs, or torso, please wear something that allows access without making you uncomfortable. If you're unsure, feel free to text me ahead of time for guidance.

  • If you'd like to listen to your own music or watch something during the session, feel free to bring headphones and a charged phone. You're welcome to make yourself comfortable—I want this to be a calming experience for you.

  • If you're prone to anxiety or sensitivity: headphones, deep breathing, or even a comfort item can help. You're always welcome to speak up—I’ll check in with you throughout the session and adjust as needed. This is a collaboration, and your comfort matters.

Thank you for choosing me to create something meaningful with you. Your comfort and readiness help make it a smoother, more focused experience for both of us!
